AXIOO is never under any illusions of grandeur. Their notebooks are made to be affordable when matched against vis-à-vis competitors. They are no one-trick pony either as they have a wide range of models for different needs. Here’s where the Zetta MNS 4232 comes into play, it’s a notebook made for work and play. It doesn’t scream sexy like the Apples, but the MNS 4232 isn’t shy in performance either. It’s powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz processor, NVIDIA 9300 GS graphics and has 4GB memory. Put through the tests, this notebook can fare pretty well all-round. It’ll play videos on its 14.1-inch screen, it’ll get by Photoshop and it’ll manage games not at their maximal settings. It even comes with a HDMI port for HD output should there be a decision to upgrade its current DVD Super Multi drive to a Blu-ray one in the future.
Verdict
It’ll get things done and doesn’t cost a bomb.
THE NUMBER GAME
What do benchmark numbers for the MSN 4232 really mean?
PCMark Vantage
3161 PCMarks. This means that Microsoft Office will run like a well-oiled engine. It also means that you’re able to watch videos without a glitch.
3DMark2006
2111 3DMarks @ 1,024x768. The numbers say that this notebook won’t be able to comfortably run demanding games like Far Cry 2 even at medium settings. There’s always an option to lower game settings or play lesser demanding games.
320GB
Okay, this isn’t a benchmark number, but that’s how much hard disk space the notebook comes with. 320GB is a lot of space. Figuratively speaking, a lot of space equals the capacity to store about 70,000 songs, minus a few thousand for miscellaneous software.
