Photography made easy with Sony's new Point and Shoot Digital Cameras.

Light and compact cameras will never go out of vogue, especially when manufacturers continue to churn out cameras that are brimming with frills. The recently introduced DSC-W190 and DSC-W180 from Cyber-shot W series continues to subscribe to the casual mechanics of point-and-shoot while incorporating enhanced Face Detection, Smile Shutter and Digital SteadyShot technologies that automatically optimises the quality of exposures.

The freshly baked Cyber-shot cameras follow the W series’ tradition of being consistently sleek and attractive, sporting a brushed metallic chassis that makes it an accessory you’d be proud to flaunt. The ½.33-type Super HAD CCD sensor, 12.1 megapixel resolution, 3x optical zoom and 18x Smart Zoom, ensures your pictures come out impeccably sharp. One of the most salient features of the camera is its SteadyShot, which is able to minimise the effects of camera shakes by recording two images in rapid succession and then superimposing the images to reduce blurry exposures – excellent for capturing those candid action-filled moments.

As if the SteadyShot is not enough, the high sensitivity mode of up to ISO 3200 coupled with the seven scene selection modes also eliminates haziness when shooting in dimly lit environments.

The new Cyber-Shot W series is available in stores now at the recommended retail price of DSC-W190 is S$349 (DSC-W190) and $299 (DSC-W180) (inclusive of GST).
