Out with the unnecessary.

Like most people, we love downloading movies (legally!) and watching them on our TVs, but loathe to part with good money for a media player that comes with its own hard disk when we already have TBs of movies in our own external hard disks.
Fortunately, it seems that at least someone out there has thought about that issue: the new AC Ryan Playon!HD Mini drops the internal drive, so we can just plug in our own hard disks without having to transfer our movies over.
Of course, it also comes with the standard features like streaming and WiFi capabilities (via additional hardware), so that one does not get left out in today’s increasingly wired world.
And if you don’t mind the fact that it looks like a classy CD-ROM box, its price tag of S$199 should be reasonable enough for consideration.
