The Philips GoGear experience

We were taken on a stretch limo ride by the Philips team to experience the Philips GoGear flash MP4 player on board and did we have fun. Not only did we get to drink in style (*wink*) but a Philips representative explained to us how their new digital audio/video player restores compressed MP3 files to CD quality audio with its patented FullSound technology.

Like audio-visual equipment, such as state-of-art AV equipment backed by unique concepts? Audio House has recently opened a 50,000 sq ft AV hub on the fourth level of Liang Court, which features many new concepts, including Asia’s longest wall (100 metres) for HDTV displays, Singapore’s longest camera display, and 13 conceptual sound rooms under one roof. 25 international brands such as JBL, Marantz, Denon, Harmon Kardon, NAD, Infiniti and B&W will be there to showcase their sound systems. The hub also features a simulated HDTV sound room by Samsung, as well as a WIFI multizone concept, and a waterfall HDTV wall.

We’ve all heard of portable hard disk drives (HDD) but have you heard of one with a colour LCD that allows you to view your data, including photos? Well if it sounds like something you’ve always wanted, the Hyperdrive Colourspace O (with a SATA drive) is currently available for SGD522 (for the 320GB version). The device comes with a 3.2-inch screen with auto screen orientation and is able to backup 1GB of data within one minute. You can view the images as they download, from 11 different types of  memory cards.

Anime fans looking to catch the latest anime titles as they are broadcasted in Japan need not wait for their DVD release or downloads. With just a SGD10 subscription per month, they can enjoy viewing anime series from TV Tokyo Corporation, MICO and Media Factory within the same week they are broadcasted in Japan on MOBTV.sg’s AnimeTrix. The collaboration between MediaCorp and anime house Odex has already brought in about 90 hours of anime from six titles including D.Gray-Man, Neo Angelique Abyss, and Tokyo Majin. Fans whom have been following Arts Central’s anime series can even look forward to viewing more risqué titles on AnimeTrix that are not available on TV.
