Haven't we all heard this phrase.
Coming from the planet Cybertron, the "Transformers" are divided into two factions, the heroic Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, and the evil Decepticons, led by Megatron. They are able to "transform", rearranging their bodies into common or innocuous forms, including vehicles, devices or animals. "Transformers" are fictional alien robots and the title characters of a popular Hasbro toy line and its spin-offs. They made their first debut in the early 1980s and become a big hit even until today. Coming early 2011, Singaporeans will be the first to experience the all new "Transformers" theme park attraction at Resorts World at Sentosa - a collaborative between Universal Parks & Resorts, Hasbro and DreamWorks Pictures. Developed through the partnership between Universal Parks and Resorts, Hasbro and DreamWorks Pictures, the theme park attraction will be based on the blockbuster "Transformers", and the ride will show humans caught in a war between the heroic Autobots and the villainous Decepticons. Tom Williams, Chairman and CEO, Universal Parks & Resorts, said, "Transformers will be a jewel in our collection of world-class rides based on great movies. Tan Hee Teck, chief executive officer, Resorts World at Sentosa, said, "It is great that Asia will be the launch pad for the first Transformers attraction. Transformers was introduced in the United States in 1983 but traces its roots to Asia. Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Megatron are familiar names to Asian audiences, who grew up with the robot toys and love the movie. When Transformers opens in Universal Studios Singapore in 2010, it will be the first of its kind in the world. We may see a surge of Transformers mania." Resorts World at Sentosa is a 49-hectare integrated resort on Singapore's holiday island of Sentosa. The SGD6 billion resort, set to be completed in early 2010, will house six hotels, a casino, Universal Studios Singapore, The Marine Life Park, the Maritime Experiential Museum and the Equarius Water Park. Universal Studios Singapore is set to house 24 rides, 18 of which are original ideas or specifically designed for the theme park. It is scheduled to make their debuts in early 2011, first at Universal Studios Singapore and then at Universal Studios Hollywood.
