SITEX 2008 is back bigger than ever at the Singapore Expo from 27 till 30 November 2008. It's their 20th anniversary and the organisers, Singapore Infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF), will be dishing out S$16,000 cash rewards, give to charity via paper recycling, have a larger exhibition area and have special freebies only for the ladies.

This year, there will be over 200 exhibitors showcasing more than 500 IT brand. It is anticipated by the organisers that there will be 800,000 visitors. Here are some of the promotion lined up:

"Shop For Free" Lucky Draw
Customers who spend S$100 in a single receipt are entitled to take part in a "Shop For Free" lucky draw where 8 lucky winners will walk away with S$2,000 cash each. That's a grand total of S$16,000 to be given away! Sweet.

Free S$200 CBL Data Recovery Voucher
Customers will be getting a free data recovery voucher for a minimum of S$100 spent on a single receipt.

Paper Recycling
Doing something for Mother Nature and the Society for the Physically Disabled (SPD), SITEX organisers and Clean Solutions will introduce paper recycling at this year's show. Newspapers, magazines, telephone directories and printing paper can be deposited into special paper recycling bins placed outside the exhibition halls. All proceeds from the recycling effort will go to SPD.

Ladies Go Tech!
Who says gadgets are just for men? Over the years, the number of women patronising SITEX has grown to 32% in 2007 from 23% in 2005. To reward this steady increase, female shoppers who spend a minimum of S$200 in a single receipt will be able to take part in a lucky dip. Prizes include a lovely Pioneer 50" HD Plasma TV, iPod Nano Pink with matching V-moda pink earphones, Sony Cyber-Shot T-300, Western Digital pink external drives and more! For a full list of prizes, head on to www.sitex.com.sg/ladies_prize.html.

Ca$h Converters
Visitors strapped for cash for that next upgrade can trade in their electronic products for instant cash to finance their new purchases.

It's a bigger exhibition this year as it spans Hall 5, Hall 6, Foyer 2 and Atrium 5. There will also be three new segments added to the show - Sports Electronics, Digital Music Technology and Digital Art Technology. The regular segments are Animation, Camera & Camcorder, Computer & Hardware, Gaming, Home Entertainment, Mobile Communications, MP3/MP4/MP5, Automobile Electronics, IT & New Media Education, IT for Kids and Smart Home.

Also to note, Gadget3 and PC Magazine Singapore will be having a booth with special promotions during the show too. Be sure to check it out!
