The Sony Cyber-Shot T77
Earlier today, Sony invited us media down to the very pretty The White Rabbit to show us their new Cyber-Shot cameras. Launched today was the T77, T500 and T700. Click Read More to see what was in store for us!

Jacqueline Lim giving her demo using the TV to show face detection
Hosted by Shane Mardjuki from Channel 5’s Spell Cast, the launch started off with a speech by Sony Singapore Managing Director Takeo Kobayashi, who gave everyone a brief introduction into Sony’s new range of Cyber-Shot cameras. Jacqueline Lim from Sony then gave us all a demonstration of the various interesting features of the cameras. Some of these features included Smile Shutter, which allows the camera to automatically take a picture when someone in the frame is smiling, as well as Face Detection, which focuses on faces seen in frame. You can even set this to either Child or Adult Priority!

After the demonstration, everyone was broken up into groups and we were all given a shot at trying out the various features. The group who tried out all the features in the fastest time would win a fantastic prize, so no doubt everyone was eager to get snapping!

The Sony Cyber-Shot T500
Out of the three new cameras launched, the T77 is the world’s slimmest digital still camera to feature Optical SteadyShot measuring only 13.9mm. The T700 on the other hand comes with an impressive 4GB of internal memory, and with its unique slideshow function (which allows you to add music and interesting transition effects), it’s pretty much a portable digital photo album! What’s unique about the T500 is its ability to shoot and play HD videos on the go, and it even has a TV output so you can watch your favourite home videos on a TV wherever you may be.

The Sony Cyber-Shot T77 and T700 will be available here from mid-September at SGD549 and SGD649 respectively. The T500 will be available here from late September, and price is currently unavailable. For more info, check out the Sony website . Here are some more photos from the event:

The winners of the competition win Sony's digital photo frame. They're one of the first in Singapore to own it, as it hasn't launched here yet!

Me with the very pretty T500. Time to start saving for one!
