The Moment of Truth: HP Total Care Challenge Youth Category (Updated!)

*Update 3 Nov 2008* Videos of the prize giving ceremony and interview with the judges are now up!

Last week, the winning teams for the HP Total Care Challenge - Youth Category were announced and awards/prizes were given out. For the benefit of those who are not in the know, here's what the HP Total Care Challenge is about.

Together with our sister magazine, PC Magazine Singapore, the Gadget3 team was on duty to capture every moment of the ceremony.

Present to grace the ceremony and give out the awards/prizes, were the judges, Mr Philip Lee, SMB Solutions manager, Personal Systems Group, HP Asia Pacific and Japan, and Ms Jane Leong, managing director, CR Media Pte Ltd as well as Ms Serena Yong, general manager, Personal Systems Group.

Blogging, a full-time job?

Most if not all that goes online has a blog these days, and these people that own one can consider themselve as a blogger already. But out of the many bloggers out there, it seems only a small fraction generates enough revenue to consider this as a full-time occupation.

If someone walks up to you right now and says "hey, would you like to blog for a living?" ... Would you take up the offer?

First-ever Google DevFest in Singapore

Google DevFest, a one-day technical workshop for developers to learn how to create OpenSocial applications for eXo Platform, Friendster, hi5 and iGoogle platforms, was held for the the very first time in Singapore, welcoming over 400 Singaporean and Malaysian developers.

In conjunction with this event, Google is organising an OpenSocial Gadget Contest for local developers to use their coding skills and creativity to build OpenSocial applications.
