Sea Monkeys!

One thing about working in a tech office is that while there's a lot of cables, motherboards, mobile phones and tech equipment scattered around, there's not much in the way of nature (unless you consider the fungus growing underneath John's telephone cradle). With that in mind, I thought I'd brighten the place up with some pets. You can't really keep a dog or a rabbit in a place like this (they'd chew up the power cables) and a goldfish is a little bit too high maintenance, so we got the next best thing: Sea Monkeys!

Hello Kitty Pancakes

This is what they should look like

This morning I woke up to a pleasant surprise. My darling wife had gotten up early to cook me up some Hello Kitty's for me to eat. No, she's not a chef from Guangdong and "eating Hello Kitty" is not a euphemism for bedroom activities; she made some pancakes using a special Hello Kitty pancake pan that my sister got us as a wedding present. The Hello Kitty pancake pan is simply just a small pan shaped like Hello Kitty, and judging from the picture above, you should get a pancake that looks identical to Hello Kitty, with the dark brown spots in all the right places.

Chic Gadgets in an LV

Geeky-ness is no longer just a boys' thing. In fact, if you know me personally you'd be surprised how much geekier I can be compared to a guy. But that's not the topic for this entry.

A couple of months ago I read an entry from GamingAngels.com listing a couple of cool gadgets they think women would love to own and somewhat debated on it in my blog. Months later, in this new virtual space, I decided to bring this topic out again and discuss it once more.

This time round instead of writing what I think they'd love to own, let them show you it to you themselves.

Canon held a DSLR photography session for women wanting to make the transition to DSLR photography two days ago and invited established photographer Kelly Cheng to share some tips with the girls in an exclusive all-women only session. In a cosy room full of designer chairs (thanks to Ogilvy), we listened to an insightful account of how Kelly made her mark in commercial photography. Canon's training and program executive Jino Lee, also shared some useful photography tips, and we all went away much wiser, more confident (after handling the cameras) and with fears dispelled.
