If you are the kind who travels a lot with your notebook and is always wasting time at the checkout point as they get you to remove your notebook manually, Targus is one brand you should take a look as they are set to unveil their X-Ray friendly notebook bags by October. It will certainly make the security check a lot more convenient but it will be only available in the US for now. For more information, head over to Targus's website here.

Google Chrome: Made the switch yet?

If you feel that you need your webpages to load up even faster, why not try out the new Google Chrome? Small and fast seemed to be the way Google Chrome positions itself as it does not take up a lot of hard disk space and loads webpages very quickly. The downside to this otherwise wonderful browser would be the fact that tabbed sites are an entirely separate process. That means that if you like multi-tabbed surfing, chances are you will be lagging a lot if you do not have enough RAM. If you wish to give the Chrome a try, do head on to Google's site here.

The very stylish Armani Samsung TV

Last Friday, Samsung invited us down to their flagship store at Vivocity to introduce to us not one, not two, but five new full HD LCD TVs! These included the Full HD 680 and 750 LCD TVs, as well as new generation LCD TV series 8 and 9, and the Armani Samsung TV, which is the first time that Samsung has paired up with a designer label.

Recently ViewSonic unveiled its' first 120Hz desktop LCD screen during the NVIDIA NVISION 08 event. The 22inch prototype produces a whooping resolution of 1680x1050 pixels, 300 nits of high brightness and 1000:1 contrast ratio, as well as wide viewing angles for getting the most out of fast action games and multimedia files. Slated to be released globally by the end of the year, I am keeping my fingers crossed when the price is out. In the mean time, you can head over to ViewSonic's website here for more details.

Remember earlier this year when Philips launched their LivingColours LED Lamps? Well now Philips has launched a mini version of the lamp, and now it comes in either a glossy white or a very stylish glossy black. There’s a colour wheel on the lamp that allows you to choose the exact colour to match your mood. There are 256 different colour modes, so you’ll have plenty to choose from. Best thing about this lamp is that it’s environmentally friendly. It has low energy consumption, so you don’t have to worry about having a massive electricity bill, and it doesn’t emit heat like most lamps do! The Philips LivingColours Mini is currently retailing at SGD119, while the original Philips LivingColours is priced at SGD249.
