It’s a wrap at the 4th annual Digital Imaging Competition for PC Magazine Singapore, when judging finally ended at the main National Library today. Gracing the event were judges Mr Kenji Shindo, Director, Multimedia Business Unit, from NEC Asia, Ms Corrine Ong, Marketing Manager from Konica Minolta, Ms Lim Ping Ping, Marketing Specialist from Linksys, and PC Magazine editor Wilfred Lim. There are three categories for the competition this year – School, Public, and Public Skin –, although a few school students also participated in the public categories. The judging competition, which took place over two hours today was met with great anticipation from the SP horde, and they were not disappointed, for first year Digital Media student Ng Cheong Ghim got to take home $4,000 cash and a NEC LCD 17-inch Monitor and a Linksys Wireless-N Router for winning the first prize in two categories, School and Skin.

PC Magazine will be having their Digital Imaging Competition Judging Event there at 2pm, and except to be amazed by creative and fascinating entries from the public and various schools. The competition requires contestants to create an image that using images of either the NEC NP100 projector, Konica Minolta Bizhub C353 or the Linksys WRT160N or WRT310N wireless routers. Winners stand a chance to win cash prizes and awesome gizmos too! GCA 2008 has hit Suntec, and we got to hit up the business centre to see some of the really cool game demos. As an added bonus, I was invited by New Era to be part of a media-band to demonstrate Guitar Hero World Tour to the other journalists and gaming industry folk. Check out my bass skills!

Today is a significant day. Its the last day for COMEX 2008, so if you're a bargain hunter, you better head there. Don't forget to drop by Gadget3's booth on the 6th floor as there are fantastic promotions going on. Besides that, today is also the day that the Nike+ Human Race takes place from the Esplanade Bridge to The Padang.

The crowd certainly came fast and furious today. Rachel and I were still on our way to the convention halls when I saw someone lugging a DVD player to the underpass already! If you still need anymore reason to head down to COMEX, the pictures below ought to convince you already.
