As you may know by now, the Sony A350 and T300 cameras were the first models to be launched in Singapore before anywhere else, and this is due to the great success of the T-series in Singapore. Launched at the IT Show 2008 last weekend, the cameras were going for SGD1,199 (A350 – body only) and SGD649 (T300).

Sony has introduced an advanced digital compact camera that comes with 1/4000 shutter speed, and up to 15x optical zoom – the 9.1 megapixel Cyber-shot DSC-H50 with predictive auto-focusing.

Panasonic’s HDC-SD9 and HDC-HS9 full-HD 3CCD camcorders are now available in Singapore. Both cameras feature a high compression ratio, which enables longer recording periods at full-HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080). Features like Face Detection, Intelligent Shooting Guide, 3CCD camera system, Advanced O.I.S., and Leica Dicomar lens also add to the whole system.

With something as expensive as a SLR camera, you’d want to offer it as much protection as possible especially from the damaging effects of the rain. To do so, you can use the Hydrophobia 300 – 600- a SLR rain cover that is specially made to provide your SLR and its lenses shelter against rain.

Sony has unveiled two new cameras which would be added to its DSLR range – the 10.2 megapixel A300 and 14.2 megapixel A350, which would be priced at about US$800 and US$900 respectively. The cameras feature a couple of new technologies such as Quick AF Live View and Pentamirror Tilt, which enables quick live focusing, even during burst shooting.

Nikon has introduced a new DX-NIKKOR 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR lens with a focal range of 16-85mm, which caters to wide angle and telephoto shots.

The world’s slimmest 10.1 megapixel digital camera is here and that's none other than Casio’s Exilim EX-S10. The camera measures 94.2 mm wide, 54.6 mm high and 15.0 mm thin (13.8 mm at the thinnest part).

The Nikon D60 is officially verified by Nikon. The camera will be packaged with the 3x zoom AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR lens and will be available in the US from February.
