HP to reduce energy usage by 25 percent

In a new bid to reduce the energy consumption, HP has introduced more than two dozen PCs in the US that are rated Gold or Silver at EPEAT levels. The company is dedicated to reducing their energy consumption goal by 25 percent by 2010. Included in its new lineup of products at CES 2008 that are EPEAT listed is the HP Pavilion a6360, which are available in a variety of customizable configurations.

Blu-Ray is hot hot hot. And Verbatim knows this, or else it wouldn’t be showcasing six new Blu-ray Disc (BD) products at CES 2008, which are scheduled to begin shipping in the first half of 2008. On the line-up are: 4x BD-R, Single-sided Double-layer 2x BD-R and BD-RE, Mini BD-R  and BD-RE, and 1-2x BD-R LTH TYPE discs.

3D Radio is here!

Well it’s not really here but it is a patented recording technology currently premiering at CES. What does it do? It records several pre-selected radio stations simultaneously and plays them back at anytime, even during recording. You can listen to a station that is currently being recorded, and rewind to any moment to playback. You can jump from station to station to listen to what you’ve missed, and even pause your recording to check out other stations.

It does not hurt to be safe – as the saying goes “better be safe than sorry.” If that’s the case, the Taser C2 personal protector is a gadget that wouldn’t hurt you to have (though it can cause considerable hurt to your perpetrators. But that’s the whole point of course)

Destruction honed to perfection. That's what Razer hopes to have achieved with the new Razer Destructor gaming mouse surface. Recently released during CES 2008, the surface is optimised for both laser and optical mice for what they claim to be better precision. The Destructor has a wide form factor for rapid swipes during the heat of the battle.
