Google Chrome: Made the switch yet?

Posted by iBevan in TechNewsMiscellaneous

If you feel that you need your webpages to load up even faster, why not try out the new Google Chrome? Small and fast seemed to be the way Google Chrome positions itself as it does not take up a lot of hard disk space and loads webpages very quickly. The downside to this otherwise wonderful browser would be the fact that tabbed sites are an entirely separate process. That means that if you like multi-tabbed surfing, chances are you will be lagging a lot if you do not have enough RAM. If you wish to give the Chrome a try, do head on to Google's site here.

LCDs with better graphics soon

Posted by iBevan in TechNewsMiscellaneous

Recently ViewSonic unveiled its' first 120Hz desktop LCD screen during the NVIDIA NVISION 08 event. The 22inch prototype produces a whooping resolution of 1680x1050 pixels, 300 nits of high brightness and 1000:1 contrast ratio, as well as wide viewing angles for getting the most out of fast action games and multimedia files. Slated to be released globally by the end of the year, I am keeping my fingers crossed when the price is out. In the mean time, you can head over to ViewSonic's website here for more details.
