Well, after waiting in a mall for hours and hours, the fans finally got to see the enigmatic Hideo Kojima (creator of Metal Gear Solid) and they just went ballistic. Kojima and his team came out to greet the fans, and proceeded to tell them just how much they enjoyed being in Hong Kong.

Check out this hilarious satire of the World of Warcraft fans. I have to admit, I was a big big big fan back in the day, and I spent countless hours on it too. Then my girlfriend gave me an ultimatum and now, well I gotta find a new girlfriend. Hahahah just joking. I went cold turkey and cancelled my WoW account.

After the big "fashion show" of bikini-clad models with Playstation stickers stuck on them (see Part 1 for more details), us journalists were herded up to the Konami store, where a bunch of security guards kept uninvited guests out, and made invited guests feel just a little bit uneasy. Just like in the movies, there were two waves of security: one in uniforms, and another wearing suits.

This Friday, the 1st of August marks the launch of AsiaSoft's first-ever GameFest. For one whole weekend at Marina Square, AsiaSoft will host a whole bunch of new and exciting games, as well as competitions for their most successful games like GetAmped, Cabal, Audition and of course... the ever-favourite Maple Story. Also being launched on Friday is the new game Richman Online, which will kick off with a "I am a Millionaire" contest where you can win up to SGD2,000 in prizes!

Last Thursday, I went over to Geek Terminal in the city to check out the 2008 Games Convention Asia media conference, where a panel of big important industry guys armed with a robust vocabulary that included terms like "market share" and "micro-transaction business models" spoke about the rise of the videogame industry in Singapore. Back in the day, Red Sonja was a nice little movie, even though it felt more like Conan 3 than Red Sonja. How can it not, when it had an iconic actor like Arnie playing pretty much the same character? Kind of like Kevin Sorbo in that movie Kull the Conquerer (aka Hercules for the big screen).

Anyway, here's Rose McGowan in the upcoming version of Red Sonja. And no, I still don't think she's all that hot. Home-wrecker... bah!
