Subaru Academy training centre in Singapore

Posted by Drew in NewsMotoring

Strap in your seatbelts, because Motor Image has just started up a Subaru Academy Training Centre located in their Subaru Hub in Toa Payoh. The new centre, named the Motor Image Subaru Academy Training Centre, comes as a result of certification from Fuji Heavy Industries, who make the cars in Japan. This will only be the third such academy to be founded outside of Japan, after China and Belgium.

The Academy teaches the local staff to know their cars better and to be able to educate their customers better. As we all know, nothing sucks more than a car merchant that has no idea what he's talking about, so this announcement certifies that the people at Motor Image will be able to give you an even better customer experience.

Go local Subaru team!

Winner: HDB Snake

Posted by Drew in NewsGamingContests

Solid Snake sneaks up on a HDB terrorist

Congratulations to Mr Chii Kee who sent in this elaborate recreation of a scene from Metal Gear Solid. He of course, scored a whole bunch of brownie points for incorporating such a high quality and value-for-money lifestyle/tech magazine into his photograph, and we've shamelessly fallen for his flattery. Sure he looks more like Pyramid Head from Silent Hill than Solid Snake, but you can't fault the production values here.

We'll be sending you an email momentarily, and we hope you enjoy the game! Thanks to everyone else who sent in entries! Check back for more give aways.

Coffee Colour Matching Cups

Posted by Drew in NewsMiscellaneous

MyCuppa Coffee

If you really just plain NEED to have the exact same looking cup of coffee every morning, then here's a cup that has a handy colour matching guide built right into it. Simply keep pouring in the milk until your coffee matches the colour that you want, and presto! The same cup of coffee every morning. There's a variant for tea too, for those non-coffee people like myself. Actually, I'm not into tea either. I'm guessing they don't make these cups for milk, because if your milk isn't just plain white, then you probably shouldn't be pouring it into your drinking cup.

You can pick up these designer cups at DecorHut for about SGD31.90 each.

Pretty...

BlackBerry launched a new phone today called the BlackBerry Bold. The first impressions generated by the phone definitely comes from the chrome finished trim and the leatherette backing, putting together a very stylish presence.

Look how Pro I am now

HTC rep Mr Kevin Yip, me, and the new HTC Touch Pro

Today was the launch of the new HTC Touch Pro, and we got to head over and get all touchy with it. If you liked HTC's Touch Diamond, then you're going to like this new rendition of it. The Touch Pro is basically taking the Diamond and throwing in a QWERTY keyboard and a flash for the camera, amongst other features.

Wrath of the Lich-King

Posted by Drew in NewsGaming

Although I have quit World of Warcraft cold turkey in order to keep my day job and my fiancee, there's still no doubt that I love this franchise to pieces. So here's the cinematic intro to the new expansion pack, Wrath of the Lich-King. In the meantime, I'll just weep quietly in my sleep and remind myself that having a social life and a stable job is worth staying away from WoW.
