A week or two ago rumours were spreading implying that HP was aiming to expand its iPAQ smartphone line into the consumer market with a new model that would catered to, not only the corporate users but the average consumers alike.

Rumour has it right, this time at least.

Providing users with email access, voice and GPS while on the go, HP announced today, October 21, 2008, the two newest members of the HP smartphone portfolio - the Windows Mobile 6.1 powered HP iPAQ Data Messenger and HP iPAQ Voice Messenger.
