I didn't know GSS was coming until I saw it on the paper. Then my friends started their usual 'ignoring me' phase because I was jumping like crazy. Then I stopped and got sad. My friends were like asking why not hyper already?
Then I was like 'I have to save money.. because third year is looming and my FYP will start second half of my third year, and I'm going to need to spend a lot more for my FYP.' I just found out today that for my FYP Graduation Show, we have to buy some small electronic TV-like panel (the screen is like half my 13” screen laptop) so that we can showcase our works and stuff. Like, how right?! So small! Not only that, we have to print loads more stuff! This semester alone, I spent $200 on printing and school related stuff, 85% of it went to printing. [ ... read more ]

Blame my late article on the stupid viral infection i caught over the weekend.
Yes, i was sick for the longest time in months. I fall sick easily, but i usually recover fast. Unlike this time.
Flu, Cough, High Fever, Sorethroat, Giddiness.
It was horrible.
Unfortunately it was Mother's Day weekend and we had to go to Vivocity to get mum the bear she wanted. (she requested for that big cute bear and chocolates)
I went there without makeup. I almost vomitted when i looked at myself in the mirror at the washroom. Gasp.
It was tiring searching for a restaurant (that have non-fried food... remember that im sick). All of them have such long queues. In the end we ended up at a Dim Sum restaurant with horrible food. [ ... read more ]

Mother's day! It's not so much a celebration as it is a tradition because mother's day is the only day I get to celebrate that involves a parent because I don't celebrate father's day. My parents divorced when I was just like at a young age. Anyway it's not about the father today. [ ... read more ]

Yesterday was Mother's Day. Did you celebrate it, OR did you spend your day at home?
Before I go on, let me wish all Mothers a very happy...

As you grow older, you will realise you will stop doing things like handmade cards etc. Instead you will buy perhaps a bouquet of flowers or bring them out for dinner, or simply buy them a cake.

Which I did not. Since my dad is overseas yesterday, i was assigned the task to celebrate Mother's day with my mum. I wanted to treat my mum to a Japanese feast but... [ ... read more ]

As usual, we had a family gathering with my extended family members at a nice restaurant for Mother's Day. This year, something was slightly different! My sister is studying in Perth! The problem is, my sister is usually the one incharge of buying presents for our mother, and she isn't here to do it this year! The worst part was, she mailed a music CD with hand cream to my mother last week without telling me and my brother! So I panicked and scratched my head when I found out the responsibility is on me to get a nice Mother's Day gift for our dearest mom.

Tomorrow's mother's day!!
I started planning right at the start of May cause my family haven't celebrate it before.
And since I'm so free, why not?
I thought of all sorts of things.. Like booking a restaurant and make my dad pay later on, do some of the house work for her (e.g. Ironing clothes, wash clothes etc), buy her a gift, go shopping with her.
And finally I've made up my mind.
That is!
1) Draw her a card saying "Happy Mother's Day. I love you a lot even though I piss you off all the time".
2) Make breakfast for her. (This is super hard cause I have to wake up like 5.30am in the morning in order to let it not turn into her 2nd breakfast.)
3) Very important. Don't make her angry!
(Hopefully its possible) [ ... read more ]

Fame or fortune, which would I choose? I guess you can say neither can go without which. It's like messing up a cosmic cycle. Whenever there is fame, there is fortune and vice versa.
But what if one could go without the other? I mean, if you could have fortune without fame, it'll be great! No one would approach you for philanthropy stuff, you could go shopping without being photographed. But of course, this would happen like, never. Rich is always synonymous with the word famous.
Like Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft. Everyone knows him. and all the other rich people. Warren Buffet, Donald Trump, E.T.C. [ ... read more ]

Human beings are greedy by nature, I would want BOTH fame and fortune, but if I really have to choose between one of them...
I would choose,

Fame! NOT! As a teenager, I might choose fame over fortune because I would have the mindset that when you have fame, you will have fortune. When you are famous, you get everything.
But in the long run, Fortune would be better! Imagine you having a pile of fortune for you to spend throughout your lifetime *Ka-ching*

Fame and fortune - two things many men strive to achieve, and many have died in pursue of. What is it about these material matters that are so important to humans? Perhaps the power that comes with it, or just self gratification? If given a choice, I would chose happiness over either, since there's no greater importance in life than being happy. I guess between the two, Fame and Fortune, fortune would probably deliver the kind of happiness I seek more so than fame.

I will definitely choose fortune over fame anytime! With fortune, and the right connections, fame will already be on their way!.
However, if I already have both, I will definitely sacrifice fame. I would rather live my life as a normal person, being able to go wherever I want and do whatever I want to, not needing to be restricted on my movements due to being a public figure.
Personally, I feel that fame is not an important, unless it benefits your career. For example, artistes, politicians and even models, fame is vital to their career. The more well-known they are, the more they rise up in their careers. [ ... read more ]
